Each silver filigree necklace in our collection is created by hand using the ancient Yemenite silversmithing techniques our family has preserved for seven generations. Adorned with Roman glass, Eilat stone, amethyst, and natural gemstones, these necklaces are wearable works of art. A timeless addition to any jewelry collection.
The story of our silver filigree necklaces begins in 1927, when Moshe Ben David established his Yemenite silversmithing workshop. Discovered by Ruth Dayan in 1950, his work spent a decade at the legendary Maskit Fashion House in Israel and later appeared in the films "Moses" and "Jacob and Joseph." Today, his grandson Rami carries the craft forward from our Ness Tziona studio, hand-soldering 925 sterling silver wire into the openwork patterns that catch light from every angle.
Our sterling silver filigree necklace collection ranges from minimal everyday pieces to ceremonial designs with traditional Yemenite motifs. Chain lengths typically range from 16 to 22 inches, and many pendants are interchangeable. Stones are sourced thoughtfully: Roman glass from licensed archaeological sources, Eilat stone unique to southern Israel, and Carnelian, lapis, and amethyst chosen for color depth and natural variation.
